Need recommendation for Datasource configuration on weblogic application server

Hi Team,

   Need your help to recommend datasource configuration for our ADF application. Our application expects 350 concurrent users at peak load with 1500 maximum users.

Please let me know whether enabling configuration like "Test Connections On Reserve" will have any impact on the performance. Is using this property in production environment recommended ?..

Please suggest any document which dicusses about sizing the datasource configuration or any other server configuration which might have impact on applications once deployed to the production environment.
