Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. Siebel upgrade query

Hi, We are looking to upgrade to Siebel Version 8.1 from version 7.7.2.12 SIA.

I was just wondering from peoples previous upgrade experience is it generally better to:

Install 8.1 on new servers
Install 8.1 on the same servers as 7.7 is installed

If your installing 8.1 on the same servers as 7.7 is already installed, is there any part of 7.7 that needs to be uninstalled ?
