Cancelled invoice is relfecting with event class status "Invalid" in subledger period close exceptio

Hi,

We have cancelled a invoice but not accounted. When we run "Subledger Period Close Exceptions Report"  our invoice is reflecting with event class status of "Invalid". Do i need to run "Create Accounting" program. Plz give me an docid which is having reference to  subledger event class statuses.
