Planning Web Form Formulas

Does anyone know where the documentation is for the syntax of web form formula expressions?  I have tried using Financial Reporting syntax and while it verifies it does nto work.  I formulas to verify but they do not function correctly on the web form.

I have already looked through the Planning Administrator and User documents and they give no clue on how to reference columns or rows. Do they have to be expanded to refer to them in a formula?
