Migrating to new hardware - using physical dataguard

I have inherited a database which I need to migrate to new hardware by the 15th July....Due to the tight deadlines there is no way that I can ask the QA for a full system test if I carry out a database upgrade.
The database is a 4 Node RAC version 10.2.0.3 32bit.
I will be using a physical standby to minimize downtime as much as possible...
On the new hardware I was planning to use Oracle 11.2 grid control 64bit and then install 10.2 database on top.... [ID 948456.1] mentions some issues which mostly have been fixed in the later releases of the 10g database.
