Changing the company of a business unit

Looking for some guidance on how to go about changing a business unit company I came across the following URL:

Considering the latter, the process seems easy but it makes me wonder what happens with the rest of the modules?? Does the process change the company number for all modules including GL? Does anyone know or could please shade some light on the subject??
