Here is a description of the DBA challenge:

Company has Davis Bacon jobs.  Jobs are established with a prevailing wage by classification.  There is also a contractor’s fringe benefit (non-cash, non-taxable) that is set by classification.

Employees working on the job are guaranteed the prevailing wage plus the fringe.

Example:             Class: Operator                 Wage  $20.00/Hour         Fringe  $10.00/Hour

Class: Laborer                   Wage  $17.75/Hour         Fringe  $8.25/hour

BUT – if an employee already makes more than the prevailing wage, he/she would be paid their normal hourly rate - which is handled by setting the Time Entry MBF to pay the higher rate.  As a result of being paid a higher rate, the fringe rate would be decreased by the excess over the prevailing wage.  So if an Operator normally makes $22.50/hr, they would get paid that, but their fringe would be reduced to $7.50.  The combination of the hourly rate and the fringe should equal the sum of the 2 rates determined by the contract – except

Howdy, Stranger!
