Lead Assignment rule is not working (*******Urgent*********)

Hi,

I am updating my lead assigmnet rule i.e. changing "assign to" employee to new employee but when i create a new lead my reassign owner is not working.

we have updated a assignment rule to new one just replaces new employee name from the previous name.

Need to know that by changing it all properly still Leads get assigned to previous employee only which is now inactive.

Is there any other set up to change assignment rule, need your suggestion on urgent basis.
