hI  i am working on sql loader

i want to know what it will do??

             INVENTORY_ORG              NULLIF   INVENTORY_ORG             = BLANKS"trim(:INVENTORY_ORG)"
       ,ITEM_NUMBER                       NULLIF   ITEM_NUMBER                   = BLANKS"trim(:ITEM_NUMBER)"

needs information regarding what is the usage of null if and blanks in these stmts
