Scheduler History Purge

Version - 10.1.3.4.1Scheduler DB: Oracle / 11.2.0.1.0

We have been maintaining the history since live. How to purge the scheduler history?  If it should be done via SQL delete statement how to do that with out disturbing referential integrity?  We are thinking of delete the records in the scheduler database.
