Help with connecting SQL2008 server to Oracle 8

Hello,

I'm trying to create a linked server in MSSQL 2008 and searches have have led me to a patch that updates the Oracle Client software from 10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5 (patch ID 14622662).  Searching on this patch ID comes up with nothing.  Are these patches no longer online (due to age)?  Any other help in getting the linked server to work would be helpful-unless it includes upgrading the databse!
