Different results in Analytics vs Reporting

i created a report in Analytics to tell me all leads for a specific criteria and also to show me if there is an opportunity associated with the lead. I created a report in Reporting using the exact same criteria but it only shows me the leads that have an associated opportunity, not leads that are without an associated opportunity.  IS this expected results and why?
