AR Invoice Adjustment Approval Notification

Hi Folks,
Is there a way to send notification to a user when an adjustment is created with a pending approval status? I am not looking for a hierarchy where the system would send automatic notification, but to give the creator of the adjustment a choice to send notification to any user (in most cases his manager). Please let me know if this functionality is available in AR.
