Dealing with Corruption
We've been finding that many of the issues we run into are identified in the KB as the result of "corrupted" layouts, user profiles and/or preferences. It is frustrating to me and to the users when all I can tell them is that the AVA0 error they're getting is probably the result of a corrupted layout. It's worse when the user profile needs to be un-corrupted and service tickets are involved.
Is there some standard maintenance real DBA's do that help forestall all this corruption? I have no idea how it keeps happening, but it happens weekly. We're using 7.2 with SQL in a hosted Citrix environment.
