SCM Tools and Siebel - Anyone Using GIT?

Hi All,

We're going to be upgrading from 7.8 to 8.1 soon, and at the same time I'd like to review the current dev processes and tools.

We are currently using VSS as our SCM tool, but are considering GIT

Does anyone use it? If so, do you have any advice/best practice to impart?

One thing I'm very interested in is how to run parallel streams of development in Siebel. I know that merging can be a painful and manual process, but if there are any tools or processes that can help....
