Backing up spconfig after using ldm CLI for Ops Center LDOMs

I have been using Ops Center 11g for the initial provisioning and patching of LDOMs on Sun T4 servers and it seems to be working well. 
Once provisioned, I have been using the ldm command line for the final touches on the LDOM, because the commands can be scripted and it is faster.  For example, I have about 50 EMC LUNs which I assign as vdisks. Also, I can't figure out how to perform some of the ldm functionality via Ops Center.   

Ops Center uses the spconfig xvmconfig to back up the LDOM configuration after each OC LDOM operation.  When I make command line LDOM changes, should I also be using xvmconfig as my spconfig backup target, or should I use something else?  Are there any potential issues with using ldm CLI for OC-provisioned LDOMs?
