Adding REDO log to a 10G database(primary)

Hi,  I would like to hear a second option from you DBA friends out there.  I am planning to add three more REDO logs to the the existing 10G database while it is online.  This database is the primary (with 1,2,3 REDO logs).  We have a standby running together.

My plan is to use the Grid Control to add the REDO logs(4,5,6) to the primary and  I am expecting these changes will replicate automatically to the standby too( the three REDO logs I create in the primary).

What do you think about this plan? Any suggestions and optinions are welcome.  We don't have an exact  test envnirnment for primary-standby setting and it is to our beneift if I could keep the database online while doing it.

Howdy, Stranger!
