Unable to Scan * in BI Publisher reports

Hi,

I have created a BI Publisher report. It needs to display barcodes and we are using LXE barcode scanner to scan it. I have registered the font in Oracle and have created the rft file. When i run the report, it generates the font. But when i tried to scan it, its not scanning correctly. I tried Code 3 of 9 Extended. I have pre fixed and post fixed * around the data field. The scanner is scannin the barcode for *123456*. But the scanner is not scanning the barcode for *BB2*PTO 1234*. If we have a special character, the
