Decimal Point for Quantity field...

JD Edwards does not allow decimal point for quantity field and uses conversion factors to convert weight to the higher / Non-primary UOMs. Knowledge-base suggests that Display decimal can be changed to accommodate the requirement. However, the paper also states that this should be carried out with utmost caution and once done, this change is not supported!
Using the product without any change results in quantities in manufacturing looking like 12010 gms, 2009 ml, 30208 mm and it becomes difficult to read.

This seems to be a drawback in JDE.
