When does a datafile 'autoextend'?
Hi,
I just want to know when (what criteria, baseline, or metric) does a datafile use before it autoextends? Example, does the datafile need to reach to 100% (maybe 95 or 90%) first before extending? Or am I looking at this the different way? We are using our DB for retail business (regular and fast transactions) and we ran out of tablespace last week. Upon checking, the datafile is set to autoextend so it should've not happened. What I'm thinking is, maybe the default criteria before a datafile autoextends is not sufficient for our usage and I want to tune it up.
Thanks!
