Folks,Development have received some enhancement requests relating to how to handle parts requests.  While they have some solutions, they are interested to hear from the user community how you currently address this requirement.

The scenario: a technician evaluates an item and determines the list of parts required to execute service. One or more parts are under stockroom control so the technician must request the part(s) be picked and delivered to their work area. A material handler picks the part(s) and delivers them to the technician’s work area. The business wants to source the requested parts immediately rather than wait for a nightly batch run of a planning application. The business wants a record to track the picking, delivery and receipt of parts to the technician. A technician may need to return unused parts
