Conflicting instructions in Interoperability notes 1058763.1 & patch 9922442 readme

Hi,

1) We are trying to migrate from our DB from 10.2.0.5 to 11gR2 using the following documents:
a) Export/Import Process for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 Database Instances Using Oracle Database 11g Release 1 or 11g Release 2 ID 741818.1
b) Interoperability Notes Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0) ID 1058763.1
b) Patch 9922442 readme.

See section 1 of Export/Import #1, then section 1 of Interoperability Notes 1058763.1 says to apply 9922442, but the readme for patch 9922442 says 'This fix is applicable on to db 11gR2' & 'This fix is not compatible with lover version pf db like 11gR1 or 10g.

Which instructions should I follow?
