Agile Web Client Stuck in Loading Screen

In Agile 9.3.1 when user logs into web client, when loading the homepage screen (Notifications tab) the "Loading..." box appears but never goes away.   User is unable to manually switch to any other Homepage tabs (i.e. Workflow Routings, My Assignments, etc).   This only occurs when logging in via SSO proxy.  If user logs directly into primary or secondary app server there is no issue.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java and also tried clearing IE browser cache, but this didn't help.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and how to resolve it?
