OSM SQL Tuning

Hi,
For OSM 7.0.3, I'm observing multiple calls to automation_ctx table which is having lot many buffer get which is definitely troubling the DB. And we need tuning on it.

Similar behavior is there for other tables also, for example or_order_instance.
Is there any guidelines which shows which all select queries can be further tuned by creating indexes or profiles.
Please provide the best practice to do OSM DB performance tuning.
And if there are some configurable parameters for OSM DB, please provide that also.
