Repair Services - Order Management

Hi ,
I receive an item from Customer and do some Repair work on the Item and then ship to customer with the Repair Invoice.

Will i receive the Goods in Inventory , or just Create a sales order for with Service Item ?

If i create a service Item Sales order will i need to Pick Release and Ship confirm ?
