ASCP-Early supplies pegged to late demands

We are using Unconstrained plan and running in 12 period buckets. It is seen that, the initial firm supplies are being used for Late demands and for nearby demands, plan is partially pegging to onhand and recommending planned orders for the rest.  I've tried using MSO Demand/Supply profile options,but not sure if apply for Unconstrained plan. Please clarify.

Also, since the planning is in period buckets, the demand for one  month generates planned orders on the last day of the previous month and that gives an incorrect picture when looked at the H.Plan. How do we make sure that planned orders are recommended in the same month as that of the demand (forecast demand in weekly buckets,spread and consumed).
