Problem with changing data selection from a web client

I’ve changed a version data selection from a web client. The changes are immediately visible to the web server. If I schedule the version the application server uses the new data selection. But if the version is called from another batch, the system uses the old data selection and I’ve to submit version specification to update the new selection. This seems very strange to me. In the official documentation I found the indication ‘For creating or modifying versions directly in PD, it is best to use the Web Client’ [ID 959516.1].
