Contact owner inherit account owner

Afternoon,

I was wondering if anyone has stumbled across this before and if so, what their solution was..

Basically, we want the contact owner to inherit the account owner when the owner on the account is changed.. I know it adds them to the contact team but I can't help but feel this could end up getting messy and it could potentially effect some reports further in.
Understand this can be done via webservices but was wondering whether it could be done via workflow or something?
