Database receives shutdown abort when ora-1157 occurs

Dear All ,
We are facing the following issue :

On installation 11gR2 stand alone with ohas and ASM , we delete a datafile ( rm on unix ) in order to proceed with a failover/restore scenario )

We noticed the following : When we start the database and we got the ora-1157 error ( database on mounted state ) , we show on alert log that we got an shutdown abort and DB closes .

Until now on 10g , when ora-1157 occured during startup Db stayed on mounted state .

Any ideas how shutdown abort appears ?
