R12 Comments for Assets during prepare mass additions

I am looking for a place in the create/prepare mass additions forms where we can enter a comment about the asset and that is then available to query once the asset is capitalized.

We tried the DFF and the Comments field in the Mass Additions form however neither one is then included with the asset once it is capitalized.

Has anyone had this requirement and how did you resolve?
