I think there is a typo on document ID 1339704.1  "E1: 47: General EDI and Flat File Conversion FAQ "

it says :  ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards are very in-depth, that is why there are separate translator software packages out there like Gentran or Premanos.

it should say : ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards are very in-depth, that is why there are separate translator software packages out there like Gentran or Premenos.
