How are YOU disabling Java 6 (1.6) from updating in your enterprise?

As most of us here know by now, there is an issue going on with the coming update cycle with Java 6, and the issue of upgrading to Java 7 (not yet certified with EBS) on our user PC's.  The notice is telling us all to disable the auto-update function on our Java clients.  However, there is not a published method to deploy this out across the enterprise (Group Policy?  Script?  Registry changes?).  I've seen some notes when browsing Google results, but I'd like to know what you all out there are doing.  Currently, I have an SR going with
