Line not appearing in RTF output

Hi All,
while working on a report in BI publisher i came across this following issue:
created a new rtf, drawn line and shapes when viewed output in RTF  Line and shapes are not visible, whereas in other formats like pdf its visible.
for a report i need to show the line and shapes in rtf format, so please help with this.

any help will be appreciated.
