Thinking about OCM 11.2.0.2+: when it breaks, who fixes it?
I really like the idea and concept of OCM, but I really dislike the extra overhead incurred when it breaks. Now that Oracle is more aggressive and is subtly installing OCM (without user knowledge when using the silent installer) in 11.2.0.2+, will Oracle also aggressively and subtly fix it when it goes south? Or do users still have to go in, check logfiles, run diagnostics and apply fixes?
I realize the axiom of "different folks, different strokes" in that some people want more control, while others want less. At this point in time with OCM, I don't want to have to touch it, even when it breaks; if OCM maintenance is needed, I think I prefer Oracle to handle it and "just make it work".
