Transition efforts from Client/Server to Web ADI in Oracle EBS 11.5.10

My finance department has been using client/server ADI since late 2004, with Excel 2003.  Those users will be moving to Excel 2010 soon; therefore, will need to begin using Web ADI.  It appears that all of our current FSG and other reports are available in Report Manager.

I have several questions, but initially looking for the following:

My dummest question...I have found ID 261340.1 - which states Oracle doesn't have nor intend to provide for client/server spreadsheet template conversion for use with Web ADI.  Is this indicating that upon moving to Web ADI any former .xls files will must be recreated, at least once in the .xlsx format, from Web ADI?
