SLA ability to support Periodic Costing Methods

In R12 Cost Management, for an Inventory Org, does Subledger Accounting have the ability to support Periodic Costing Methods?
If supported, are there separate Journal Line Definitions, Application Accounting Definitions, and SLAM exclusively seeded for Periodic Costing methods?

Can we have two separate SLAM's, one to support Perpetual (Standard) costing for our Primary Ledger, and a second SLAM to support Periodic Average Costing for our Secondary Ledger?
