How to configure HA with managed servers

Hi,
Is there any document which can guide me to setup a HA between 4 managed servers?
Basically we have 4 managed servers on 2 physical boxes. We have tried to do the HA configuration by the means of server migration and chosen the other unix machine to be the candidate machine
But I'm not sure that this is the only step which we need to follow or something else is also required
If there is some document regarding this or some guidelines/best practices it'll be great.
