index on field ORDERED_DATE for table OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL

 Hi,
We are using Oracle E-Business Suit, we wrote many sales custom report from OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL, most of them are filtered with ORDERED_DATE to get sales for the period, i found there is no index on this field due to this my sql statements always doing full table scan, please advice.
