LCM Setup - Advanced Pricing setup mandatory bussiness case LCM-pre-receiving

Dears,

I am in process of configuring LCM module – (LCM-pre-receiving ), in the in receiving parameters at organization level there is check mark integration with advance pricing.  My question, what is the impact once enable, and how Advanced Pricing setup is useful in the scenario where LCM is configured as service pre-receiving
