Install, Upgrade, Clone, Patch - EBS (MOSC)

Patch 9179588 : Error while applying merged patch.

Hi,

As per note 798258.1, to apply patch 9179588:R12.AD.B,Customer performed the following steps.

Merged following patches:
/u02/PreR12AD/p9179588_R12.AD.B_R12_GENERIC.zip
/u02/PreR12AD/p9477107_R12.AD.B_R12_GENERIC.zip
/u02/PreR12AD/p7461070_R12_LINUX.zip

When they applying merged patch, patch is failing during relink phase with below error message:

/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/4.4.6/32/libgcc_s.so: undefined reference to
`__stack_chk_fail@GLIBC_2.4'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: ***
[/u01/app/apptactt0/tacttst0/apps/apps_st/appl/ad/12.0.0/bin/adgenhnm] Error 1
Done with link of ad executable 'adgenhnm' on Thu Jun 21 16:49:37 EDT 2012
