How do you Close Life Events for Candidates

We have a situation where we need to delete 5 candidate records from HRMS.
When trying to do so using CA HRMS Manager we get an error stating:
One or more active benefits life events exist for this person on this date. Before
proceeding with this deletion, please end date or delete this data before the desired deletion date.

We found ID 473667.1 which explains the error is because there are life events which have started. From the front end we can see that the life event that has started is OFFER. Using the query provided in Note 213831.1 (referenced in 473667.1) we get no values returned.
