Straight Line Depreciation Method

We use Oracle seeded straight line depreciation method but it only allows for whole years not months.  In other words we cannot enter an asset with 5 years and 4 months of asset life.    In top of that is missing a lot of years like 21, 23, 26,27,31,32 and may others.

Put a service request with Oracle and their usual answer "It is intended functionality'    The only ridiculous solution provided was to create a depreciation method for each asset life we need.  This is nuts...   I will end up with a lot of depreciation methods that will have to be attached to different assets.   Too much maintenance and very impractical.
