OS Authenticaion

I was wondering if there was any other solutions to OS authentication that doesn't involve setting the remote_os_auth parameter.  Is there any way to do basically the same thing using Active directory or OID?  We have an application that is using direct connections to the Oracle database that needs to log in without a password.  Is there any way to do this?    The database is 11.2.0.3 running on  RHEL 5 Linux.  The clients are running on Windows 7 machines, using OCI client to connect.
