Using Visual Basic as Means to Upload Standard Purchase Order Documents

We are in the process of evaluating methods of using external methods of uploading POs to the PO module.

Does anyone have any thoughts on using an Excel form with Visual Basic coding behind it to upload standard purchase order documents?
