Siebel; Performance dropped after SGA change

Hi,

We deployed Oracle Datagaurd for a Fail-over system at Data Layer.

Performance was ok for initial 2 weeks and then we bumped space, as space was available. SGA was bumped from 8 to 10GB.
Is there a limit to the Space that needs to be allocated to SGA, can extra space cause performance hit (!!).

We are using Oracle 11g and AIX 6.

Any advise or pointers will help.
