Windows 7 UAC on Siebel thin client running on IE8 is prompting for download of High Interactive Fra
We are in the process of upgrading our company's workstations from Windows XP to Windows 7.
We are currently using Siebel 8.0.0.9 on IE8 with Windows XP SP3 on Production workstations. We are upgrading to Windows 7, Service Pack 3.
When a non-administrative user signs into the Siebel web page (thin client) for the VERY first time, the browser downloads the following file (SiebelAx_HI_Client.cab). When a user has “admin” access to the machine they are presented with UAC screen which allows them to install the following components:
- In C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files (SiebelAx_HI_Client and SiebelAx_HI_Client_20433_QF0994.dll)
