Oracle 10g Secure Application Role

Hi,

I created a secure application role and tied it to a procedure. I was surprised that I didn't

have to grant the secure role to the user but simply execute the trusted procedure while

logged in as that user and the role was granted and set to default.  

Can you please explain this behavior and point me to the documentation that indicates

that the granting of secure application roles is not required?
