Running 11.2.0.3 GI and 11.2.0.3 RDBMS
We have installed 11.2.0.3 GI with Apr 2012 PSU on a cluster with 3 nodes.
The owner of the directory for GI home is root with group oinstall. Is that what we expect to see.
We created a ACFS for Oracle 11.2.0.3 binaries. The file oracle under $ORACLE_HOME/bin had to be changeed from oracle:oinstall to oracle:asmadmin in order to create database. According the support documentation, this change to group for oracle file is requried for p21 11gR2 release. So the diretion given is incorrect.
When ACFS says it support RDBMS of all releases after 11gR2, but you are unable to create a database using DBCA . When a DB is created manually then you cannot use SRVCTL to register the database. The error message is about ACFS not being supported.
