Database Control OMS version 10.2.0.4 installed out of box with 11.2.0.3 SE database

I have performed the out of the box Standard Edition 11.2.0.3 database installation which included the database control (single DB monitored) version of EM.  All went well, except for it does not generate alerts that appear to use the alert.log as its source.  I have received the out of the box alerts regarding things like filesystem size, and tablespace % when these thresholds have been exceeded.  However, alerts fail to fire when based upon metrics that use the alert.log as the source (e.g. deadlocks, segment cannot be extended, etc).  In reviewing Oracle Notes on Metalink I see note 949858.1.  According to this note, the OMS version 10.2.0.5 support the new alert.log file structure.  But, the out of the box install was for OMS and Agent 10.2.0.4.  So, now I have a scenario where the repository appears to be configured to look at the new alert.log format.  I think this is true because instead of the "Generic Alert Log Error " metric I have the "generic incident, generic operational, and generic internal" type of metrics that were introduced in EM 10.2.0.5 and EM 11g.

Howdy, Stranger!
