Implementation considerations of Oracle catalog database

 Hi,
One of our client planning to implement Oracle catalog for keep RMAN backup information.

They have 100+ cluster databases and most of the databases on 11R2. However there're few databases still run on 10g.

We have limited implementation expertise on catalog databases.

I would like to know some expert ideas on implementation considerations/planning/designing of a catalog database.
